Nathaniel Dwayne Hale a.k.a Nate Dogg
According to reports, the hip-hop musician's family confirmed that he passed away last night following several years of ill health. No further details have yet been released.
Born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale in August 1969, the Grammy-nominated singer shot to fame when he collaborated with Warren G on the smash hit 'Regulate' in 1994.
Since then he has worked with musicians including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Dr Dre and Mark Ronson.
Snoop Dogg was first to pay his respect for the star, tweeting: "I miss u cuzz I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up wit u and I will c u again n heaven cuz u know d slogan... all doggs go to heaven yo homie n baby brotha bigg snoopdogg!!" (sic)
