Chameleone & Wakazi Show in Chicago

The music lovers in Chicago got a taste of a flawless concert that would linger in their body, mind, and soul for years to come. The show was nothing short of international appeal, from the list of performers all the way to the demographic breakdown of the concert goers which had people from different parts of Africa and of course, the native Americans. The show started with a live performnce of a Band from Haiti which blazed a string of their original work while giving the crowd a little dose of some classic tunes. After their set, DJ Paddy all the way from Boston. MA took over and kept the people on the edge of their seats all the time if not on the dance floor with spins of various crowd's favorite afrobeats and pop tunes. Then Wakazi was introduced to the stage, and he didnt take long to capture the attention of the crowd starting of with "Taking over the game" and then what seem to have the people go crazy, "Deuces the Rudemixx". Then Wakazi introduced Gwaii to the crowd and with him they performed "Cheza" a song that also features LBT and Jay Hux ( of their collective Alias "KAMATI YA UFUNDI"). Then Gwaii performed "Kaza Kamua" before Wakazi introduced Bantuman and the three of them did "Call de Police", a Bantuman song featuring Wakazi & Gwaii. To kill of his set, Wakazi did a crazy acapella freestyle that had the Crowd buzzin for a few good minutes. And it was Time for the grand finale. Dr. Jose Chameleone was heard from the backstage shouting and the crowd couldnt help but scream as loud as they could as he made his way to the stage. Next to him was AK 47 and they both exploded with mad tunes ranging from the early hits as "Mama Mia", "Dorotia" "Kipepeo" to the recent ones. It was amazing to see how Chameleone commands the crowd and manages to stay in control of the performance for over an hour without any signs of being tired. Also on his set, he had a band playing some his music live so the fans got a mixture of performance that is beyond explanation. Chameleone was dancing, singing and enjoying himself up there, he even invited fans to the stage to dance and some sing one of his songs. After the first Encore, he rushed off of the stage as fans kept cheering and screaming his name. DJ Paddy once again took over the party until it was time to depart the premise. It was truly a night to remember, and Chicago residents surely got another ingredient to add to their list of their so called "Taste of Chicago".
